Welcoming 2009 In The World Of Naach!!

NAACH = DANCE

Hello Everyone

Welcome to my first ever Blog!!

I like to begin my blog by wishing A Very Happy New Year TO EVERYONE.

This new is the year, new is the hopes and the aspirations, new is the resolution, new are the spirits and forever my warm wishes are for you, have a creative and successful 2009!! :)=

So little bit about me I am a Performing artist, Choreographer and Instructor based in NY & NJ. I am also a Bollywood fanatic, I enjoying watch movies, hindi music such as sufi, classical, modern, rock, pop. gazals, folk, etc), costumes and more than anything is DANCING that I truly admire. I have been highly inspired in dancing from Bollywood films, well Bollywood dancing is not actual a form of dance but a collage of various different dance styles from all around India as well as western dances like (latin, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, ballroom etc.)

There are various beautiful elements about Bollywood dancing that I like; it’s most vibrant, authentic and traditional costumes, intensified by dramatic music and larger than life sets that leaves one to just beyond its imagination.

So last year in December, 2008 my life long dream became a reality and I finally decided to live my dream which is to have my own dance studio. All my 15 years of experience as a performing artist and a choreographer would like to share it with individuals who essentially enjoy dancing and is willing to take it to the next level. I like to teach students ways to create that bollywood fire and magic while performing. Indian dances are incredibly expressive and so performance without an expressions is lifeless. Bollywood dance is mixture of expressions sadness, smiling, confusion, angry and so on. So if a dancer who really wants to leave an impact to his/her performance and audience while performing a bollywood number then he/she have to understand the meaning of that song; if it’s a happy song then what kind of happiness is it and meaning of each word since you will be lip-syncing so is more fun to watch and relate to a dancer with a story he/she is trying to portray. Along with the dance training I would also like to teach my students how to become a character dancer, develop personality and stage confidence as well as learn to be a star performer.

I have been extremely fortunate and honored to receive such great opportunities and achievements at such young age for my dedication and passion towards dancing. I truly am very thankful to my GOD and my PARENTS

( Nina & Nitin Vyas) for thier unconditional love & support towards my passion and building my courage. They are such a wonderful parents and the best individuals in the world that has taught me many beautiful and valuable things about life.
